The Facilities Technician (SAR - Steam, Air, Refrigeration) is responsible for maintaining the continuous operation, monitoring, and troubleshooting of central utility systems supporting the Waco facility. Operating from main plant feeds up to the production headers, this role ensures uninterrupted delivery of high-pressure steam, medium-voltage/480V power distribution, chilled water, compressed air, and HVAC. The tech conducts continuous system monitoring, identifies early signs of equipment failure, supports planned shutdowns, and manages third-party specialized contractors during major repairs.

• Education: Technical degree, trade apprenticeship, or military technical training strongly preferred.
• Experience: 3+ years of industrial utilities or plant operations experience preferred.

Technical Skills:

• Hands-on exposure to at least two key utility systems: Boilers/Steam (150 PSI), Ammonia ($\text{NH}_3$) Refrigeration, Compressed Air/Pneumatics, or Industrial HVAC/AHUs.
• Electrical knowledge up to 480V, including switchgear, load centers, and motor control centers (MCCs).
• Proficiency reading equipment documentation, system trends, and P&IDs/schematics.
• Competence using CMMS for documentation, work order management, and shift handoffs.

Certifications (Preferred): RETA Ammonia Refrigeration certification or state/industrial Boiler Operator credentials. Nice to have.
