The Inventory Control Supervisor is a newly created leadership role responsible for overseeing raw materials, indirect supplies, and spare parts inventory operations across Hobas Pipe's Houston manufacturing facility. Reporting to the Director of Procurement, this role manages a team of ~10 warehouse personnel to ensure 100% inventory accuracy, enforce 5S organization, and lead the initiative to make SAP the single source of truth for all warehouse operations.

This company needs a change-agent who can come in assess any challenges/difficulties they are having in this department and make appropriate changes.

You will spend 90% of your time on the floor (this may go down over time as changes are made to processes and procedures). It is a hot, dirty environment where they are making pipes, so PPE must be worn by you and your team in certain areas of the facility.

• Directly supervise, train, and mentor a ~10-person warehouse team across 3 distinct inventory storage areas.
• Drive inventory accuracy in SAP by enforcing proper material issuance against work orders, performing daily cycle counts, and leading annual physical inventory audits.
• Identify and clear failed SAP inventory transactions (COGI report) and perform monthly reconciliations between physical stock and SAP records.
• Establish standard operating procedures (SOPs), optimize warehouse layouts, enforce 5S cleanliness, and set up Kanban / Just-In-Time processes where applicable.
• Ensure incoming direct/indirect materials and spare parts are properly received, documented, and processed immediately in SAP to support 3-way matching for invoicing.
• Monitor supplier performance, aging inventory, and turnover rates to optimize min/max and safety stock levels.
• Maintain health, safety, and hygiene standards across all warehouse facilities and related office spaces.

• MUST - Spanish language proficiency is required (ability to lead and communicate effectively in Spanish).
• MUST have a Minimum 3 years of hands-on warehouse, inventory control, or logistics leadership experience (military technical/logistics background strongly preferred).
• MUST - Proven hands-on proficiency in SAP inventory management transactions (MIGO, MB52, MB51, MC.9, COGI, etc.) and Microsoft Excel.
• MUST - Experience managing a team of 8–10+ direct reports in an industrial or manufacturing environment.
• Ability to pass a mask fit test and work in a dusty, hot, and humid non-climate-controlled warehouse setting.
• Strong leadership, problem-solving, and conflict-resolution skills with a focus on mentoring and structure.
• Bachelor’s degree in Industrial/Systems Engineering or related field, APICS/ISM certifications, or Power BI experience are pluses.
