This company is seeking a driven, high-character Lead Fire Alarm Inspector to oversee testing and inspection operations across Northern Virginia. In this role, you will lead inspection teams, handle complex low-voltage fire alarm system evaluations, and serve as the primary customer-facing technical lead on job sites.
This role requires a proven technical background in life safety systems, demonstrated leadership experience, unwavering professionalism, and the flexibility to handle off-shift work as needed to meet client access requirements.
WHAT YOU’LL DO
- Team Leadership: Act as the field team lead, directing and mentoring Fire Alarm Inspectors and Helpers on job sites to ensure high-quality, code-compliant testing.
- System Testing & Inspection: Perform comprehensive testing and inspections of commercial fire alarm panels, initiation devices, and notification appliances.
- Complex Diagnostics: Execute advanced troubleshooting, identify system deficiencies, and report discrepancies.
- Client Relations: Interface directly with property managers, building engineers, and local Authorities Having Jurisdiction (AHJs) prior to, during, and following inspections.
- Shift Flexibility: Conduct after-hours, night shift, or weekend inspections when required by facility operational schedules.
- Documentation: Generate detailed, accurate inspection reports and deficiency summaries.
