The Maintenance Technician is responsible for safely building, repairing, and maintaining plant manufacturing equipment to ensure maximum uptime and operational efficiency. Operating as a multi-skilled technician, you will troubleshoot mechanical and electrical components, perform preventive maintenance, and support capital/reliability projects in a dynamic plastics manufacturing environment.
- Safely troubleshoot, dismantle, and repair mechanical equipment including gearboxes, motors, air compressors, and centrifugal/hydraulic pumps.
- Inspect, repair, or replace hydraulic, pneumatic, and electronic equipment, utilizing technical blueprints and electrical schematics.
- Set up and operate shop machinery (welder, cutting torch, drill press, grinders, band saws) and use hand/pneumatic tools to fabricate or modify parts.
- Execute preventive maintenance (PM) routines and utilize the CMMS to log work orders and track spare parts inventory.
- Safely operate forklifts and aerial lift platforms during equipment overhauls.
- Maintain safety, environmental, and 5S housekeeping standards across all maintenance operations.
