This company is looking for a Project Manager to join a recession-resistant original equipment manufacturer (OEM) in Spartanburg, SC. This company has been building industrial equipment since 1969 and has a proven track record of stability, with many associates staying for 10 to 35+ years.

As a Project Manager, you will not be managing people; you will be managing the lifecycle of 10 to 12 concurrent machinery projects. These are typically five-month builds averaging around $350,000 in value. You will be the central point of contact, ensuring everything from the initial kickoff meeting to the final equipment inspection stays on track. You will interface heavily with internal teams—including engineering, fabrication, quality control, and shipping—while keeping external customers updated on their project's status.

You will be working for this company's Water Division which deals almost exclusively with local municipalities, so familiarity with written technical specifications and with State and Federal incentives (such as “Buy American” domestic procurement incentives) would be a real plus. There is a lot of paperwork and bureaucracy to government procurement. Having both patience and high attention to detail is important in helping those projects go smoothly.

This role is a strong fit for transitioning military engineering officers or senior technical leaders who are used to managing complex logistical or technical programs under tight deadlines. You need the technical aptitude to read layout drawings and understand specifications, especially since many of these projects involve municipal government contracts with strict procurement rules like "Buy American" incentives. You do not need to be a design engineer, but you do need the confidence to navigate technical data and the patience to manage bureaucratic paperwork.

This is a full-time, on-site role in Spartanburg working standard Monday through Friday hours, 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM. Travel is minimal—usually limited to three or four short overnight trips a year.

• Five years minimum experience managing multiple projects, production programs, or technical teams.
