The role of the Electrician with this company is to perform Preventative and Maintenance Work Orders, Troubleshoot and Repair various mill equipment, repair and modify electrical controls including Electronic Drive Units, PLCs, and HMIs, provide electrical support to the Mechanical and Production Teams, and assist with various projects. Technically they need someone with an understanding of fundamental electrical theory and practice, experience troubleshooting 480V Motors and Controls, automation controls, strong troubleshooting skills, excellent computer skills and experience or the ability to learn to perform preventative and corrective maintenance on steel mill equipment and systems such as:
They will have an outlined training program in place, starting with a safety training program, as safety is something they take very seriously, most training will be on-the-job but you must have electrical troubleshooting and repair experience.They are looking for people who are independent thinkers, with well-developed leadership skills that they can see as future leaders, and a collaborative, team orientated mindset.
