The Wastewater Treatment Plant Operator is accountable for operating, monitoring, and maintaining various pumping, process, biological, and chemical treatment equipment used to remediate contaminated groundwater and industrial wastewater at Envirogen’s Henderson, NV facility. Key duties include monitoring meters, gauges, SCADA/PLC controls, adjusting process setpoints, mixing and managing chemical feed systems (caustic, acids, polymers, peroxides), collecting lab samples, running wet chemistry testing, maintaining operational logbooks, and performing basic preventive maintenance on pumps, valves, and piping.

• Work Experience: Minimum of 3 years of hands-on experience in plant operations (or equivalent U.S. Navy Nuclear / ELT technical experience).
• Licensing: Grade 1 Physical/Chemical Wastewater Treatment Operator license preferred (or targetable).
• Technical Skills: Ability to perform basic lab analyses, read process gauges/meters, execute preventive maintenance on mechanical components, and calculate chemical dosage and loading rates.
• Physical & Environmental: Ability to stand for long shifts, lift up to 50 lbs regularly, wear full site PPE, and work flexible 12-hour rotating shifts (day/graveyard).
• Safety & Certifications: 40-Hour HAZWOPER certification (with 8-Hour Refresher) preferred. Reliable personal transportation required.
